England Day 17 (1 July 2018)
Today, I felt like we pleasantly enjoyed the last day in England. We woke up and got ready for church, then we drove up to Chorley to go to church and see the Preston Temple. We thought church started at 10, so when we pulled in at 9:40, we were a little surprised to find it started at 9:30. I’m pretty sure we get brownie points in heaven for the attempt!

We then drove back to the center of Manchester, where our hotel has been for the past theee days. Only one problem...they were having a cycling event in the center of town, and we couldn’t access the car park for the hotel. It took a few decent minutes of figuring how to get the car parked close to the hotel, but finally we were parked and ready to go!

The heatwave has chased us the whole trip. However, the blue skies have embraced us wholeheartedly. Weird tan lines and sun kissed skin doth abound! It was a lovely day with wonderful people! 💕
It was fun to sneak a peek at the MTC on our way in. After the meeting, we were able to walk the Temple grounds. It was so peaceful, the flowers Weller gorgeous, and not another soul was there.

We were able to do some good shopping in the Manchester City Centre, which was delightful! I was also able to spend a little time with my family that lives in the area. 💕
Later in the afternoon, we walked over to the John Rylands library. Talk about impressive! It really is an amazing library. It makes you want to pull a few books off the shelves and get to studying! They sometimes house a copy of the Gutenberg Bible here! It is currently on loan somewhere, so we didn’t get to sneak a glimpse. However, it was an incredible library!
