Québec Day 4 (21 July 2018)

We started the morning by getting ready and packing up camp!  We found a Walmart to leave the RV, while we drove today. After detaching the RV, we headed towards Montmorency Falls. They claim they are twice as tall as Niagra Falls. They’re not as wide, but they’re quite impressive!

There is a suspension bridge that is over the top of the Falls, so you can look straight down them.  There is something amazingly powerful about waterfalls!

There is also a zip line, but the line was long, so we were able to watch a few people go down as we were admiring the Falls.

We saw there was another place to park down below, so we drove down to it. Since we had already paid up top, they didn’t make us pay again. Score! What a glorious view. You could get a better feel of the height from the bottom.  Though he’s hard to see, there’s a fisherman on the bottom left of the falls, to give some perspective.

I read there is a place where you can see white beluga whales near Tadoussac, which was a few hours from the Falls. We decided to head towards that direction.

Due to some time constraints, we couldn’t make our way all the way there, but the drive was delightful!  We drove through both the Côte-de-Beaupré and Charlevoix areas.

We also stopped to gas up, and I found some delicious treats to share too!

Charlevoix is a charming area that is considered the ‘Switzerland of Québec.’  Before we headed down towards Baie-Saint-Paul, we were able to find an amazing overlook!

We found the Walmart where we left the RV (it closed at 5:00 p.m.  I’d never be able to get shopping done), and were on the road again to make our way down to Montréal for the next leg of our trip!

Here is a fun fact!  The McDonalds’ Golden Arches all have a maple leaf on them in this neck of the woods!

Also, they have Yop!  It’s a yogurt drink that I fell in love with in France. I have not seen it in the States, but I always look for it in grocery stores!

The highway has several farm fields bordering them, and they seem to go on forever. I always love it when it looks like an artist has painted the sky.

It is always really fun for me to imagine myself living in an area. I believe I would be happy here. It’s beautiful! 💕
