Day 11 - London (16 June 2019)

This morning came bright and early as I did room checks at 5 am to make sure everyone was up and packed at 5 a.m. I woke up one of my girls’rooms, but they had packed the night before, so it wasn’t super stressful. We were in the bus, ready to go by 5:30 am.

Heidi and I FaceTimed Dad to wish him a happy Father’s Day, (interrupting him at church), before the bus pulled out of the parking lot.

After filling out the last of the survey information for EF Tours, we made it to the airport. Solène took Hartley to another terminal and checked her in, while I made sure the rest of my group was able to to check in and drop off their bags.

I said goodbye to my group through some tears. It is always amazing to me how shared experiences can bond a group together.

What a phenomenal trip it has been!  There were a thousand new things to be learned, with hundreds of smiles, and millions of pictures. I appreciated the topics of Pilgrimages, as I saw echoes of them everywhere.

I’m so grateful Heidi was able to chaperone on the trip and spend quality time with her. My group was so happy to be in Europe and experience all there was to both see and do. I believe they’ll look back on this trip with fond memories. What a wonderful trip!

Northern France and London, you gave me way more than I anticipated. Thank you for such an incredible experience! 💕

  1. I'm so glad Heidi was able to be there with you! The last time she was in Europe I think she was 16. I loved seeing your trip on Facebook and this blog. I feel like I was almost there with you!
